Wax melts, salt sizzlers and candles

Wax melts

What are wax melts made from

What are wax melts made from

What are wax melts?- these are scented, wickless blocks of wax designed to be heated in a wax warmer, which melts the wax to release fragrance without an open flame. Unlike candles, they don't have a wick and are used in conjunction with a heat source, such as an electric warmer or a tea light burner, to diffuse their aroma into a room. They come in various shapes, colors, and sizes and can be a safer alternative to candles for homes with children or pets

Our wax melts are made from 100% soy wax.

This is a natural candle wax derived entirely from hydrogenated soybean oil, making it a sustainable, biodegradable, and plant-based alternative to traditional waxes. It is known for its clean-burning properties, slow and even burn, and ability to hold fragrance well. The hydrogenation process transforms the natural oil into a stable, workable wax with a creamy texture and professional appearance

Salt sizzlers

What are wax melts made from

Salt sizzlers

Salt sizzlers, also known as simmering granules, are fragranced salt crystals, often Himalayan or Dead Sea salt, used in place of wax melts in electric or tea light burners. They do not melt but release a scent when heated, providing an alternative that is often considered cleaner, with no sticky residue, and easier to dispose of once the fragrance fades. Sizzlers are made by infusing salt with fragrance oils and dyes and are simply tipped into the bin once they've lost their scent.

Candles

What colouring do we use and why

Salt sizzlers

What wax is used in our candles?- again just like the wax melts we use 100% soy wax.

Candles are a lovely feature to have in the house as it provides a light and beautiful smell.

The wicked thats used is an absorbent cord or string that draws the melted fuel from the base of the candle upward to the flame through a process called capillary action.

Candles burning time

What colouring do we use and why

What colouring do we use and why

Candle burning times vary significantly based on size, wax type, and wick, with small candles burning for tens of hours and larger ones potentially lasting hundreds. Factors like wax (soy vs. paraffin), container vs. pillar, and careful wick management directly affect burn time.

We use mica powder for all our products.

Mica powders are shimmering, fine-grain mineral powders derived from mica, a natural silicate mineral, or produced synthetically in a lab. These powders are known for their glittery, iridescent quality and are used to add sparkle and color to various products, including cosmetics, soap, resin art, nail polish, and craft projects. They can be natural, ethically sourced minerals or synthetic, lab-engineered versions that may offer more vibrant colors

Always use products on a heat-resistant surface, away from flammable items, and out of reach of children and pets. Never leave a burner or melter unattended, and allow it to cool completely before touching or moving it. Ensure the burner is suitable for your chosen product; use only 3-4 hour tea lights with tealight-powered burners and do not use hot plates to melt wax. For salt sizzlers, simply dispose of them in the bin once the scent has fully evaporated, and never add water or other oils to wax or sizzlers.
